DEAR HÉLOISE: I often read your column in our local newspaper and find interesting information there. A friend who works at a restaurant used coffee filters to dry tables before each customer. Filters absorb moisture and leave no streaks for a cleaner table. He also used them on the windows of his vehicles. So try this every time you need to dry a surface.
